Worcester charity event - 6th September
The first charity run to be held in Worcester is currently being organised. It is due to be held on the 6th September in aid of St Richard’s hospice. The hospice in Worcester cares for people with terminal illnesses. In order to provide this service the hospice needs approximately £4.8 million a year.
Organisers of this charitable event are hoping to attract a large number of runners for the half marathon run, to help raise funds for this worthwhile service. The hospice is a worthwhile cause recognised by the residents of Worcester. People from all ages will be able to take part in the marathon.
The marathon will take on footpaths at Top Barn. It is located just outside Worcester so there are good transport links and enough room for spectators to provide support for the runners. The event is due to start at 11am and an entry fee of £12.
