Local Pub set to reopen after revamp
An historic pub combined with a restaurant has gone through an extensive refurbishment, is soon ready to open its doors again to the public. The Crown and Sandys in Ombersley, near Worcester is due to open on Thursday 14th May.
It is a grade two listed building which is dated back to the 16th century. Over recent months it has undergone major structural work. Despite the structural work, the owners are confident that they have managed to restore the historical features of the building.
Work on the building combined with the traffic flow over a long period of time has possibly contributed to the minor disintegration on the front wall. The reopening of the pub also means the possibility of 12 new posts. The opening of the pub is promising to deliver excellent food with a quality service.
Before the pub had closed for the refurbishment it was extremely popular with local residents and hopefully the success will continue now after the refurbishment. Crown and Sandys are also hosting a special fundraising dinner. The local celebrity Sir Ian Botham, a former Worcester cricket hero will be making an appearance and also a speech. This event will take place on Friday 22nd May.
